“Trying to weave ourselves through the cracks… The wavy sky feels so high, so dense. However I can see it, I can see our goal.” Let yourself be introduced to this world. Experience a track that encompasses the vibe and feel of what everything’s like. People here are constantly hearing the noises from the so called “ghost machine” while just trying to live through what’s become of the world.
2.
Layer Zone 04:03
“Starting to get somewhere. I’m not sure I’ve figured out how this place is structured but I feel I may be getting the hang of it. Amidst the mire, we persevere”. Here we’re just starting. Set out to try and do something about the current state. Showcasing how it’s like to live in this place while ascending the various layers. It can be pretty hectic with a need for emotional rest, amongst all the confusion there’s still time to rest and understand and get up again.
3.
Airlanes 01:24
“Traveler’s respite. I feel I still remember those moments. Sigh… it was a nice feel after all.” This world is submerged in a kind of dome comprised of floating water however we don’t know why. Sometimes you can find small spots to freely breathe and enjoy the breeze. Airing out any imperfections along the way. Not without a small hiccup here and there.
4.
“What are those things I’m seeing..? I’m not sure if I saw anything at all but there’s something there. I can’t grasp it’s form… the longer I take, the more it fades away.” We long for that we can’t reach. We long for some form of nostalgia to consume us and see that life we desire to have. It’s a nice feeling. Pondering about it all but there’s some pain with it.
5.
Binary Fate 04:34
“Why do we keep clashing at the summit of all that’s been achieved? The thralls of destiny are nothing but a thin circle line revolving on its own axis.” Contradicting mindsets plague us all, what’s right? Divide. Are we destined to just repeat this cycle over and over again? Frustration.
6.
“The skies are solid, grey and indistinguishable. The tubular sensation I feel down my spine is throwing me off guard. I can’t make a clear image of what I’m supposed to be doing, holding on to a glimpse of that day, [...] ...which day?” A continuation of Binary Fate. Representing thoughts being divided into “wrong” and “right” (black & white). Stress levels increasing, it’s becoming harder to survive when your mind is making everything feel so muddy.
7.
“Sometimes we bring ourselves to consider… should we just coexist with them? Is that even a viable option? We could but… something isn’t right.” Back in the hub there’s a round map trying to illustrate the structure of the layers however it seems a bit too hard. So far we’ve got “L7_AMS” down. An arid, oppressive claustrophobic land. You can really feel you’re finally reaching… somewhere.
8.
“Is there any goal here? I don’t understand what’s the purpose of everything. What are we doing here? Are we being guided? Perhaps they are trying to help us.” A theme for a ghost. A tune for a soul. This is the main theme for entities that plague this place. Perhaps a message for everyone listening, for everyone seeing, for everyone here.
9.
Aphantasia 02:37
“I don’t remember it clearly. I’m trying to form images in my head of the beginning, I can recall why I’m here but not the journey. Everything seems to be slipping away. It’s all so… broken.” On the verge of encountering the truth. Having reached one’s destination you find yourself without knowing what you wanted to do here to begin with. The last stretch of your journey and you begin to lose yourself. Aphantasia, the ghost machine.
10.
“Confrontation. A final battle. A...” A hectic encounter with the presence, encountering our real selves. The title represents how we interact with each other and how we are to the point of destroying ourselves. There exists many entities and mirrors of one within our very existence. How will we deal with it?
11.
“I’ll see you here again. Once you’ve looped back from the start, the beginning may be further away than you thought but we’ll meet again someday.” Beyond absolution. There’s no need to fear, we must accept ourselves. We need to understand that everything is a part of who we are. Stop haunting my friends, they said “I’ll give you what you want”. - Albe’s Journal. 20XX: ‘pretty little death’.

about

'Ghost Machine' is the new album by Sebastian Kingsley. His fourth record of original music and second one envisioned as a full cohesive album.

'Ghost Machine' is an electro-industrial album that tells a sequential story of a world beyond ruin via hard hitting spacey synths accompanied by emotional piano passages and the aggressive outbursts of a guitar. A vision of life in a post-apocalyptic land plagued with the intangible mysterious presence known as "Ghosts" and the foreboding shadow of their origin.

**NOTE: Every song on album tells a vague part of a mini-story/setting. They are all accompanied by a description similar to lyrics.

***Downloads come with setting art, character reference sheet and in-depth details of the concept of 'Ghost Machine'.

ABOUT ALBUM SETTING:

The presence dubbed as "Ghosts" came with the worlds end. They are believed to monitor us and follow us around silently without making any word. We can't seem to see them but feel their presence

Separated by different layers, people are trying to survive.
Every song takes you through a tale of a world that represents the inner struggles within us to find what we mean, our purpose, trying to find peace with it and the slow climb out of this hole we all dug for ourselves.
